Mitsubishi Motors in the UK has named the first 33 sites in its new sales dealer network, taking the brand past the halfway point of its planned 60-strong retail footprint ahead of vehicle arrivals expected from May. The first wave covers a mix of long-standing Mitsubishi outlets and newer partners, with the network being rebuilt around the forthcoming Outlander PHEV and L200 Series 7.
The appointment list suggests Mitsubishi is leaning on continuity as much as expansion. Established retailers including Humphries & Parks, Adam Purves, Fields of Bromsgrove, Celtic Mitsubishi, JT Hughes, and Tweedmouth are among the first names confirmed, bringing back businesses that already know the product line and customer base. Alongside them are newer franchise partners, some with existing ties elsewhere in the International Motors portfolio.
That matters because the relaunch is not starting from zero. Mitsubishi says it already has 105 operational aftersales sites in place, and the sales rollout adds a retail layer on top of a service footprint that remained active. For the brand, the task now is less about announcing a return than proving it can translate residual loyalty, rural dealer strength, and pickup-and-SUV demand into consistent showroom traffic once vehicles actually land.
The timing is tight, but deliberate. With May showroom arrivals now close, Mitsubishi has also activated its online sales tools, including a live dealer locator, to support local lead generation as the network fills out. The next test is operational rather than symbolic: whether the second wave of appointments arrives quickly enough, and whether the new dealer map gives the Outlander PHEV and L200 the coverage they need from launch rather than several months later.
