Stabilus launches custom IPR40 electromechanical drives

Stabilus launches custom electromechanical drives for industrial use. The new Industrial POWERISE IPR40 drives offer tailored solutions for various industries. These electromechanical actuators, customisable from one unit, are designed to meet specific design requirements, enhancing flexibility and precision in industrial applications.

Stabilus has introduced its Industrial POWERISE IPR40 electromechanical drives, specifically engineered for industrial applications. This latest offering allows clients to customise actuators to precise specifications, continuing the success seen in the automotive sector with applications for tailgates and doors. The ‘Customized to Order’ feature enables configurations starting from a single actuator, extending to any required quantity.

For designers unable to find suitable solutions within Stabilus’ standard actuator range, the customised option presents a viable alternative with rapid manufacturing and delivery timelines. Engineers from Stabilus, along with its associated brands ACE Stoßdämpfer GmbH and HAHN Gasfedern GmbH, provide comprehensive support from the design phase through to commissioning.

The IPR40 electromechanical spindle drives are compact and can be tailored to specific requirements, including connections, output forces, stroke lengths, and speeds. They are available in 12 V or 24 V power supply options and offer a waterproof IP67 variant. Additionally, these drives can be integrated with industrial gas springs from the Stabilus Group, facilitating the movement and control of larger masses. The service package includes design, configuration, commissioning, and on-site support if needed, covering all electronic control unit settings and parameterisation.

Following the launch of the IPR40 actuators, Stabilus plans to expand the ‘Customized to Order’ option across its entire range of electromechanical drives, including the IPR35, IPR35 SMART, and IPR40 SMART models. This strategic move underscores Stabilus’ commitment to providing versatile and tailored solutions in the industrial sector. Further details are available on the Stabilus website.
