Gosh!, a prominent plant-based food brand, has announced its successful certification as a B Corporation, achieving a commendable score of 103.5. This score notably exceeds the typical first-time certification average, placing Gosh! among a distinguished cadre of plant-based brands recognised for their environmental and social commitments. The certification highlights Gosh!’s unwavering dedication to nutrition, sustainability, and community welfare.
Since its inception, Gosh! has been devoted to offering delicious plant-based foods that are both healthy for consumers and environmentally friendly. To achieve B Corp certification, Gosh! met stringent performance, legal, and transparency criteria by enhancing product and packaging transparency, bolstering sustainability efforts, and collaborating with like-minded businesses to amplify its impact.
The certification is a pivotal element of Gosh!’s broader sustainability strategy, which is anchored on four key pillars: promoting positive nourishment by advocating for plant-based diets, minimising operational impacts through sustainable packaging and sourcing, fostering a supportive workplace through training and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) policies, and engaging with communities through initiatives like The Felix Project.
Looking forward, Gosh! aims to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 and allocate 1% of its revenues to The Felix Project. Consumers will soon notice Gosh!’s B Corp status on its packaging, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
In alignment with its B Corp accreditation, Gosh! has also achieved the Resource Conservation Impact Business Model (IBM) recognition, which distinguishes companies designed to deliver positive environmental outcomes. This acknowledgment underscores Gosh!’s efficiency in resource use and carbon footprint reduction compared to market alternatives.
Jason Belmont, managing director at Gosh!, stated, “From the very beginning, our purpose has always been to provide delicious plant-based food that’s healthy for people and kind to the planet. The B Corp framework has allowed us to re-evaluate and enhance our policies, raising our standards and improving across all business areas. It demonstrates our commitment to social and environmental responsibility.”
Belmont added, “This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our team, who prioritised sustainability in our daily operations. Becoming a certified B Corp is just the beginning, and we will continue to enhance our sustainability and people policies to meet our ongoing goals.”
