Rolec introduces two handCASE versions for electronics

ROLEC’s handCASE offers versatile solutions for industrial applications. These aluminium enclosures, suitable for harsh environments, feature two lid designs and battery options. Available in three sizes with customisable colours and coatings, they meet military standards. Customisation services, including CNC machining and EMC shielding, are also offered.

ROLEC’s handCASE enclosures, rated IP 66/IP 67, are now available with a range of lids and battery configurations tailored for machine control, robotics, and defence electronics. Designed from rugged diecast aluminium, these handheld enclosures excel in both industrial and military applications, enduring challenging conditions while ensuring user comfort during extended use.

The handCASE series offers options with or without a battery compartment, accommodating either 4 x AA or 2 x 9 V batteries. It is available in two variants: Version S, featuring an ergonomically bevelled lid, and Version R, which includes a narrow-edged lid to optimise internal space. Both versions come with recessed tops to safeguard membrane keypads or front plates. Internally, they are equipped with threaded screw bosses suitable for mounting PCBs or plates.

These enclosures are offered in three dimensions: 80 x 180 x 42.4 mm, 100 x 220 x 42.4 mm, and 100 x 220 x 62.4 mm. Standard configurations include a black (RAL 9005) base paired with a silver metallic top for Version S, while Version R is entirely finished in light grey (RAL 7035).

Customisation options extend to bespoke colour finishes, including weather-resistant powder coatings with WIWeB approvals and camouflage colours for military use. These coatings are also available in a wet painted finish, compliant with all military standards, such as the VG 95211 defence equipment standard.

Additional options include a shoulder strap, holding clip, wall bracket, and a corrosion-proof azure blue (RAL 5009) coating. ROLEC provides comprehensive customisation services, offering CNC machining, engraving, EMC shielding, screen and digital printing, and assembly of accessories.
