The company, known for its copper tube and fittings, has expanded its international trade significantly, winning prestigious awards and increasing export sales to £26 million.

Lawton Tubes, a Midlands-based leader in copper tube and fittings, has appointed Michael Brown as its new Board Chairman, marking the first such change in a decade. Brown, who assumed his role in late November, brings extensive experience from his tenure at Dormole Group, where he served as CEO of Galleon Fixings.

Brown succeeds Rolf Herold, under whose leadership Lawton Tubes expanded its sales to 42 countries and increased its annual turnover to £230 million. The company employs 140 staff across its sites in Coventry, Redditch, and Poole. Over the past ten years, Lawton Tubes has also been recognised with two prestigious awards for rapid growth in international trade, including The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2019 and The King’s Award in 2024.

Rich Thomas, Head of People and Culture at Lawton Tubes, stated, “Michael’s appointment is a real coup for us as he brings extensive industrial leadership experience, which will stand us in good stead as we gear up for an exciting period of further growth — with our new £20 million headquarters set to open in late 2026, alongside diversifying our product ranges.”

Brown’s leadership is expected to further strengthen Lawton Tubes’ market position in key sectors such as heating and plumbing, air conditioning, and medical industries. He expressed enthusiasm about his new role, highlighting the company’s innovation in engineering and commitment to industry careers.
