CargoBeacon collaborates with Panasonic for AI asset tracking

Panasonic collaborates with CargoBeacon on AI-driven tracking technology. The partnership focuses on the EverTag product line, utilising Panasonic’s PAN1780 Bluetooth 5.3 module for enhanced asset tracking in demanding environments. This collaboration promises improved inventory management across multiple industries, bolstered by reliable wireless performance and global certification.

Panasonic Industry Europe has joined forces with CargoBeacon to advance the EverTag product line, a robust series of tags engineered for asset tracking in challenging industrial settings. Leveraging Panasonic’s PAN1780 Bluetooth 5.3 Low Energy module, the collaboration aims to enhance asset monitoring and inventory management across sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, construction, and warehousing.

The PAN1780 module, chosen for its superior radio performance and extensive certification coverage, facilitates wide mesh coverage with minimal infrastructure. This optimises deployment costs and supports real-time, AI-driven analytics of asset locations. The module’s 8dBm output power and pre-certification in key global markets expedite the time-to-market for EverTag, reinforcing CargoBeacon’s capability to deliver scalable solutions.

Daniel Lindberg, COO at CargoBeacon, emphasised the strategic advantage of collaborating with Panasonic: “Working with Panasonic helped us accelerate product development and streamline component sourcing, thanks to their global presence and robust European supply network. The PAN1780’s pre-certification in major markets allowed us to bypass lengthy processes, ensuring rapid global scalability without compromising quality.”

Olov Hisved, CEO at CargoBeacon, noted the growing demand for AI-ready asset data, highlighting Panasonic as a long-term partner. Future collaborations will explore sensor-rich tags, edge AI, and energy-efficient communication technologies.

Pascal Meier, head of IoT Devices at Panasonic Industry, expressed commitment to supporting customers with high-performance products: “CargoBeacon’s EverTag aligns seamlessly with our PAN1780 module. Our partnership demonstrates our capability to provide reliable wireless connectivity and future-proof technology, enabling impactful real-world applications.”
