Siemens and Capgemini enhance industrial partnership

Siemens and Capgemini expand partnership for AI-driven solutions. The collaboration targets key industrial sectors, aiming to enhance efficiency and sustainability. By leveraging Siemens’ technology and Capgemini’s expertise, the initiative seeks to address longstanding challenges and set new operational benchmarks across industries.

Siemens and Capgemini have announced the expansion of their strategic partnership to jointly develop AI-native digital solutions for product engineering, manufacturing, and operations. These solutions are designed to integrate artificial intelligence from the ground up, rather than as an added feature. The collaboration focuses on 16 high-impact capability areas to improve production efficiency, time-to-market, quality, and sustainability.

The partnership aims to combine Siemens’ industrial software, automation, electrification, and sustainability portfolio with Capgemini’s engineering capabilities and industry knowledge. This approach seeks to address enduring challenges like integrating IT and operational systems, enabled by technologies such as industrial AI, digital twins, and next-generation automation. Cedrik Neike, CEO of Digital Industries and Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG, stated, “Together, we guide our customers through their digital transformation with speed, precision, and a clear course toward the future.”

Aiman Ezzat, CEO of Capgemini Group, remarked on the partnership’s ambition to navigate complexity and deliver tangible business impacts. He noted the collaboration’s potential to redefine operational efficiency and set new industry standards. The initiative is already demonstrating its impact through projects with clients such as Airbus, Sanofi, and GravitHy.

For Airbus, the focus is on decarbonising industrial sites in the U.S. and U.K. Siemens technologies aim to reduce energy consumption by 20% and stationary emissions by 85% by 2030. Capgemini supports these efforts with consulting and project management. In collaboration with Sanofi, the partners are standardising production processes and accelerating the deployment of Manufacturing Execution Systems. This effort has led to significant reductions in review times and deviations.

In the case of GravitHy, the partnership is enhancing operational efficiency and addressing energy transition challenges, aiming to cut hydrogen production costs by up to 10%. The global initiative targets industries such as aerospace, automotive, and life sciences, along with emerging markets like hydrogen and water/wastewater. Capgemini plans to expand its expertise in Siemens technologies to meet these demands.

Siemens and Capgemini’s relationship spans nearly two decades and supports over 100 clients across 20 countries. This enduring partnership continues to pioneer industrial AI and intelligent manufacturing solutions, driving the next era of industrial innovation.
