DigiKey expands inventory with 31,000 new parts

DigiKey significantly expands its inventory with 31,000 new products. The distributor has added over 585,000 new items and 87 suppliers, enhancing its 17 million strong catalogue. This expansion underscores DigiKey’s commitment to immediate delivery of prototype quantities, meeting the rising demand for innovative electronic components.

DigiKey, a global leader in electronic components and automation products distribution, has considerably expanded its available inventory for same-day shipment by adding more than 31,000 new products in the third quarter of 2025. This expansion is part of a broader effort, which saw over 585,000 new items integrated into the DigiKey system, alongside the introduction of 87 new suppliers across its core business, Marketplace, and Fulfilled by DigiKey programs. The company’s overall portfolio now boasts more than 17 million products.

DigiKey’s strategic focus on expanding its in-stock inventory for immediate dispatch allows customers to procure prototype quantities without the need for factory-scale orders or enduring lengthy lead times. This capability is crucial in sectors where rapid prototyping and swift deployment of new technologies are vital.

The third quarter saw notable additions to DigiKey’s supplier roster, including RealSense, known for its depth cameras and vision systems tailored for AI applications, and MicroStrain by HBK, renowned for its inertial sensors and wireless data acquisition systems. These partnerships reflect DigiKey’s commitment to providing access to cutting-edge new product introductions (NPIs) across industries.

Prominent NPIs added in Q3 2025 include Knowles High-Q Ceramic Core Inductors for RF applications, Qorvo’s QPG6200 family of wireless SoCs, and Siemens’ SIRIUS 3RC7 Intelligent Link Modules. Also featured are Raspberry Pi’s upgraded 500+ model, Nordic Semiconductor’s nPM1304 PMICs, Terasic’s DE23-Lite development board, Renesas’ RZ/G3E General-Purpose MPU, and Phoenix Contact’s NearFi couplers, highlighting the diverse range of applications supported by DigiKey’s expanded inventory.

“Our DigiKey team remains committed to offering a variety of readily available products and innovative new product introductions across industries, including growing markets like robotics, electric vehicles, and autonomous systems,” stated Mike Slater, DigiKey’s Vice President of Global Business Development. “Our Q3 inventory expansion reflects the steady increase in customer demand along with successful partnerships with key suppliers.”
