Mazak sees increased EMO 2025 enquiries

Yamazaki Mazak captivates EMO 2025 with innovative manufacturing technologies. The company reported significant interest, particularly from the subcontract market, by launching new products, automation, and smart solutions. This strategic approach highlights Mazak’s commitment to delivering responsive and localised manufacturing solutions across its global network of factories.

Yamazaki Mazak has reported a significant level of interest in its new manufacturing technologies at EMO 2025, cementing a successful showcase for the company. The manufacturer drew robust enquiries, particularly from the subcontract market, by focusing on ’empowering innovation’ through a combination of new product launches, automation, digital integration, and smart solutions aimed at optimising production lines.

Mazak emphasised its global manufacturing strategy of proximity to the customer by presenting products from its international network of factories, including those in the EU, Japan, Singapore, India, and China. This approach underscored the company’s capability to deliver responsive, localised solutions across key markets while maintaining high standards.

The exhibition featured 20 machines, with notable interest in entry-level and productivity-enhancing solutions, such as the next generation of Mazak’s UK-designed and manufactured CV5 5-axis machining centre series. EMO 2025 also marked the debut of the INTEGREX j-200S NEO, the first INTEGREX Multi-Tasking machining centre manufactured outside Japan, now produced at Mazak’s European Manufacturing Plant in Worcester, UK. This development exemplifies Mazak’s commitment to reducing lead times for advanced machining technology in Europe.

Further product introductions included the VC-Ez IP range, a new series of 40-taper vertical machining centres designed for fast ROI in high-volume manufacturing applications, featuring class-leading spindle technology, rapid speeds, and intuitive machine control. Twelve distinct automation solutions were also showcased, including the European debut of the Ez LOADER 125i, integrated with an INTEGREX i-450H Multi-Tasking machine. This marks the first in the Ez LOADER series to feature a fully integrated industrial robot, controllable via the machine controller, thus eliminating the need for separate robot programming training.

The presentation also included installations aimed at specific industrial applications, such as the FF-400V/30L vertical machining centre for the electric vehicle market and the INTEGREX i-350 NEO AG gear-cutting machine. These innovations are designed to enhance productivity and reduce emissions.

Mazak’s stand featured a new Solutions Centre, serving as a hub for innovation and showcasing the company’s latest advancements in technologies, connectivity, digitalisation, and MAZATROL Smooth CNC. The MAZATROL DX tool was highlighted for its ability to generate quotes based on machining time and cost per part, optimising cycle times to reduce material waste.

Richard Smith, European Group Managing Director at Yamazaki Mazak, commented, “EMO 2025 proved to be a highly successful show for Yamazaki Mazak. This year saw the stand feature our dedicated Solutions Centre for the first time, allowing us to engage with customers, understand their challenges, and collaborate on solutions. The exhibition reinforced the necessity for suppliers to offer accessible turnkey solutions that empower customers and immediately impact productivity and profitability.”
