ZIV commissions substation automation system for El Aliagar Solar Park

ZIV has supplied Forestalia’s solar plant 132/30kV substation with a protection system similar to the one previously installed for Forestalia in the wind farms of the “Cluster de Valdejalón”.

In addition to supplying the equipment, ZIV has performed the logic engineering services, the factory acceptance tests (FAT) and has recently completed the field commissioning.

The 48.7MW solar plant has a surface area of 105 hectares and is expected to produce enough electricity to power 29,000 households.

This is the latest addition to the Aragon region which is near Catalonia and generates renewable energy resources of 7,000MW of wind generation and 8,500MW of photovoltaics.
