WineGB appoints Campden BRI as new scientific and technical partner
WineGB has signed a strategic partnership with Campden BRI which will become the association’s new scientific and technical partner.
Campden BRI will provide a comprehensive selection of wine analytical and testing services and wine consultancy to WineGB’s members.
Figures from WineGB, the association that represents the English and Welsh wine industry, reveal the sector is experiencing sustainable and positive growth. Last year domestic growers produced 21.6 million bottles of wine, making the industry the fastest growing agricultural sector in the UK.
Commenting on the new partnership, Nicola Bates, CEO of WineGB, said the food science company has chosen to increase its support of the GB wine industry through a partnership with WineGB.
“As a longstanding Trade Associate member of WineGB and the leading provider of wine analytical services, Campden is very familiar with our industry and its requirements,” Bates added. “We look forward to supporting their enhanced technical services offering as our sector continues to grow.”
The partnership builds on Campden BRI’s growing expertise in wine. Last year it teamed up with the Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI), one of the world’s leading wine research organisations, to deliver services from grape to glass including in-depth technical analytical capabilities as well as sensory expertise.
Based in the UK, close to the main wine growing regions, Campden BRI will assist WineGB members to provide consistent good quality wines to their customers and support the UK wine industry in creating better products and brands.
