Wartsila provides LNG fueling solutions for Pacific International Lines vessels
Four new LNG dual-fuel container ships being built for Singapore-based Pacific International Lines (PIL) will feature Wartsila’s LNG Fuel Gas Supply System (FGSS), Propulsion Control System (PCS) and Alarm Monitoring and Control System (MCS).
The container vessels – which are being built at the Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding yard in China – will use Wartsila’s FGSS to feed LNG fuel to power both main and auxiliary engines from a 7,500m3 membrane tank fitted on board. The marine technology company’s fuel system also includes boil-off gas management and bunkering stations, in addition to a Fuel Control System (FCS) which is completely integrated with the PCS and the MCS.

The equipment from Wärtsilä is scheduled for delivery to the yard in early 2024, ahead of the vessels being delivered progressively starting in 2025.

Wärtsilä also provides valuable customer support through its global service network.”
