Vaisala introduces probe recalibration and reuse service

Vaisala unveils an innovative instrumentation service for accuracy. Vaisala Circular offers a comprehensive platform for precise, uninterrupted measurements. Customers benefit from dedicated probe management, ensuring long-term reliability and reduced downtime. This service is set to enhance process optimisation and sustainability across various industries.

Vaisala, a leader in measurement technology, has introduced a groundbreaking service called Vaisala Circular. This service caters to sectors where measurement precision and operational uptime are paramount. Designed to maintain measurement accuracy and reliability over extended periods, Vaisala Circular provides a robust service platform.

The service ensures that customers have access to a dedicated pool of measurement probes, which are securely stored and maintained at Vaisala’s service centres. When recalibration is needed, customers can order replacement probes online, allowing for seamless probe swaps and minimal downtime. Used probes are then returned to Vaisala for recalibration and storage, ready for reuse. These refurbished probes come with a warranty throughout the duration of the Circular agreement.

Shan Gao, Director of Global Service Line at Vaisala, highlights the service’s significance: “As the designer, developer, and manufacturer of measurement probes, we are in the best position to maintain them and deliver long-term value for customers. Our testing, maintenance, and calibration capabilities are so rigorous that probes are returned to operation with appropriate certification, and in ‘as-new’ condition. When Vaisala probes are used and maintained according to specifications, they can be expected to last for more than a decade.”

By taking charge of probe management, Vaisala Circular provides customers with reliable, accurate measurements, facilitating process optimisation and reducing waste to bolster sustainability efforts. The service covers a broad range of measurement parameters, including humidity, dew point, temperature, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen peroxide, marking the widest selection available in its market.

Shan Gao concludes: “Circular is a good example of Vaisala’s determination to develop life-long partnerships, offering customers increased operating uptime and reliable measurements, with predictable instrumentation and maintenance costs.”
