~ EMS to showcase the FAULHABER BXT-SC series and AM3248 stepper motor ~
Small DC motor supplier Electro Mechanical Systems (EMS) will be exhibiting the FAULHABER BXT-SC series and the AM3248 stepper motor at this year’s Design Engineering Expo, taking place at the NEC in Birmingham on June 8 to 9, 2022. A hub for UK design engineers, the show will provide the ultimate platform for EMS to showcase the latest range of FAULHABER DC servomotors, of which it is the sole UK supplier.
At the show, EMS will showcase the latest brushless DC servomotors with integrated speed controllers, ideal for applications in the smallest of spaces requiring high torque. This range of FAULHABER drives combines the advantages of brushless DC servomotors with diameter-compliant control electronics, which only extend the motor by 6.2 mm. As FAULHABER’s BXT-SC series can be combined with various precision gearheads, it can be implemented in a wide variety of market sectors such as pumps, handheld devices, laboratory equipment and industrial automation systems.
EMS will also be showcasing FAULHABER’s new stepper motor, designed for demanding positioning tasks that require a high level of accuracy. The stepper motors, such as the AM3248, are ideal for accurate positioning tasks. The AM3248’s motor contains rare-earth permanent magnets, enabling a high power to volume ratio. It is compatible with planetary gearheads and electronic motion controllers.
“Exhibiting the range of FAULHABER BXT-SC series and the AM3248 stepper motors at this year’s Design Engineering Expo will provide visitors with an insight into precision applications with a robust assembly, high speed range and exceptional performance in even the harshest environments,” explained Stewart Goulding, managing director at EMS.
“Thanks to the high number of poles of the motors, the FAULHABER BXT-SC series is capable of high torque and speed rigidity in tight installation spaces while simultaneously offering a modular mounting concept,” added Goulding. “Furthermore, our Motion Manager software and programming adapters offer simple and convenient programming suitable for individual requirements.
“Stepper motors can quickly accelerate and change directions while also being capable of full, half and micro-stepping operations. The new AM3248 stepper motor specifically has a holding torque of 152 mNm at boosted current and is capable of 48 steps per revolution. All FAULHABER stepper motors are of the two phase variety, ensuring excellent compatibility with control electronics simplifying the integration or the motors into new and existing systems.”
EMS also offers a range of custom design and manufacturing services, which include mechanisms to various sectors including the automotive, medical, metrology, petrochemical and personal health industries.
