TT Electronics to Showcase Portfolio of Power Technologies for Critical Applications at APEC 2022

TT Electronics, a global provider of engineered technologies for performance critical applications, will be exhibiting at APEC, the leading conference for practicing power electronics professionals, in Houston, Texas, March 21-22. TT will showcase its extensive portfolio of passive components and power electronics at Booth #737. The company’s core specialties will be on display, reflecting TT’s strategic focus on sustainability and developing technology solutions that enable a cleaner, smarter and healthier future.

Smart sensors and passive components – designed to capture data, inform decisions, support data analytics, and enable artificial intelligence; these include non-contact, Hall effect sensors, infrared optical switches and arrays for detection of objects or fluids, and fixed and variable resistors for current sensing, power management, and signal conditioning

Power management solutions – reliable power conversion and power distribution solutions that drive optimum system performance while maintaining efficiency and safety, such as power converters for mission-critical harsh environment aerospace and defense applications, as well as miniaturised coils, transformers, and inductors uniquely developed for implantable devices and surgical navigation

TT’s Business Development Engineer, Tom Morris, will host an exhibitor seminar covering “Practical Current Sensing with Resistors” on March 22, from 3:15pm to 3:45pm in Theater 2. In this session, design engineers will learn about the different types of current sense resistors and how to select the appropriate option for optimum accuracy, performance, and cost-effectiveness. The seminar will also provide an overview of the various resistor technologies used in current sensing applications, 4 terminal vs 2 terminal board layouts, and new products suitable for such applications.

TT’s full portfolio of power electronics will be on display at booth #737. A live, in-booth demo will demonstrate how TT’s resistors handle an increase and decrease in temperature under a thermal camera.
