TraceGains expands into DACH food and beverage market

TraceGains has expanded into the DACH region. The move reflects rising compliance pressures, shifting regulation, and demand for supply chain transparency.

TraceGains, a US-based provider of compliance and innovation software for the food and beverage sector, has announced a major expansion into the DACH region, covering Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The move underscores the growing need for digital tools as manufacturers face tighter regulatory requirements and increasingly complex supply networks.

Founded in 2008, TraceGains connects more than 100,000 supplier locations worldwide and processes over 10 million documents annually. Its platform is designed to centralise fragmented compliance, quality, and sourcing data, enabling faster product development and regulatory alignment. The company employs more than 140 specialists with backgrounds in R&D, procurement, and quality management.

Michelle Henry, Director of Sales for Europe at TraceGains, said: “We’re not outsiders trying to force-fit generic systems. We’ve sat through the audits, launched new products, faced evolving regulatory demands, and we understand what F&B brands really need. Our expansion into DACH is rooted in providing local businesses with tools and expertise that are both proven globally and tailored for regional realities.”

The decision to scale operations in DACH comes as the European food and beverage industry prepares for the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Alongside regulatory pressures, companies face volatile supply chains and growing consumer demands for product transparency. TraceGains is establishing regional teams for technical support, account management, and business development to support manufacturers across the region.

The company recently introduced Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), an AI-driven system to automate the handling of certificates of analysis, eliminating manual checks and improving accuracy. TraceGains reports that customers using its platform have halved sourcing and approval times, cut time-to-market by up to 75 percent, and strengthened overall supply chain resilience.

Henry added: “Regulatory expectations are tightening across Europe, and businesses must now futureproof their operations against new standards. By strengthening our commitment to the DACH region, customers can confidently navigate change, stay compliant, and continue to innovate.”

TraceGains continues to invest in artificial intelligence and network expansion. With more businesses joining its supplier community, the company says its collaborative model will provide further leverage in adapting to Europe’s shifting compliance and sustainability landscape.
