TECO 2030 signs MoU for up to 50MW of hydrogen engines
A memorandum of understanding has been signed between TECO 2030 and an undisclosed party for cooperation on several fuel cell projects which could total 50MW of fuel cell output.
The projects, consisting of marine fuel cells and on-shore stationary fuel cell systems, will be developed in megawatt scale over a three-year period to ensure they are conducted successfully.

Fuel cells benefit from being able to produce electricity without combustion, resulting in power which is much cleaner as a lower number of pollutants are produced compared to traditional forms of combustion-based technologies. These systems are also extremely efficient and produce more power per unit of fuel.
