Technology PR agency Stone Junction has achieved five awards at this year’s Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards. Held on Thursday 13 October, 2022 at Millennium Point in Birmingham, the ceremony saw Stone Junction win Gold in the Media Relations, STEM and Corporate and Business Communications categories. Alongside this, the agency took home Silver Awards for Integrated Campaign of the Year and Outstanding Young Communicator.
Among the winning campaigns was Telecom’s Digital HERO, a thought leadership and PR campaign for Stone Junction’s client Mobilise, a telecoms provider for B2B and SaaS solutions. The campaign generated 174 pieces of high tier coverage in the telecoms, tech and IT press, bagging it Gold in the Media Relations and Corporate and Business Communications campaign awards.
Stone Junction’s work with global infrastructure tech firm, Ovarro, also achieved two wins. This campaign saw the agency challenge the hierarchy of the traditional paid, earned, shared and owned marketing model. Breaking the PESO model was awarded Silver in Integrated Campaign and Gold in the STEM Campaign category — an award in which Stone Junction holds six wins from previous years.
Stone Junction account director, Leah Elston-Thompson was awarded Silver in the Outstanding Young Communicator category. This award celebrates the achievements of exceptional PR professionals under the age of 30. Having been promoted to account director in 2021, she is now part of Stone Junction’s leadership team and is described by Richard Stone, the agency’s managing director, as “absolutely crucial to Stone Junction and its success.”
“Winning PR awards is not just an opportunity for Stone Junction to market itself,” explained Stone, managing director of Stone Junction. “It is also an opportunity for us to benchmark our campaigns against the work of other agencies. The winning campaigns with Mobilise and Ovarro demonstrate our expertise in technical PR, specifically for those client’s niches of telecoms and industrial technology.
“We’re now the proud winners of six STEM Awards from past CIPR PRide Midlands ceremonies, plus a Mark of Excellence in the same category from the CIPR Excellence Awards. As a specialist agency, these accolades demonstrate our prominence in the market and our ability to deliver excellent PR campaigns in the science, engineering and technology sectors,” elaborated Stone.
Stone Junction will exhibit at this year’s Advanced Engineering, held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham on 2 and 3 November, 2022. At the event, Stone Junction will meet with organisations in the engineering sector looking for PR and marketing support.
