This year’s SPS event is poised to commence within a week, generating substantial anticipation in the automation sector. And recent exhibitor forecasts have exceeded previous expectations, with approximately 1,170 exhibitors anticipated. This promises a broader range of products and services than the previous year, signalling the industry’s innovative capacity.
Despite current economic challenges, the automation industry remains resilient, looking forward with optimism. Sylke Schulz-Metzner, Vice President SPS, stated, “Its ability to outperform the predicted number of exhibitors clearly shows how important the SPS is as a central platform for the industry. Visitors will not only find a comprehensive range of smart and digital automation, but also numerous new solutions and technologies that address current challenges.”
A key focus of this year’s event is industrial AI, which is increasingly pivotal for efficiency and innovation in industrial production. This will be prominently featured not only at various exhibitor booths but also in the expanded lecture programme.
All SPS stages will host specialist lectures, panel discussions, and presentations, providing attendees with in-depth insights and practical knowledge on industrial AI and related topics. Notably, the Technology Stage powered by VDMA/ZVEI in Hall 3 will host a thematic block dedicated to industrial AI on the second day of the trade fair, featuring a keynote by Prof. Martin Ruskowski and a panel discussion with industry leaders.
