Sole UK FAULHABER supplier to exhibit at the Engineering Design Show
~ EMS to showcase the latest FAULHABER motors at leading design engineering show ~
FAULHABER distributor, Electro Mechanical Systems (EMS), is exhibiting at the Engineering Design Show, taking place at Coventry Building Society Arena on 19-20 October 2021. The company will be showcasing its wide range of FAULHABER drive systems at the UK’s only event entirely dedicated to engineering, electronics and embedded design.
Among the FAULHABER product line, EMS will be exhibiting the new FAULHABER MC3001 motion controllers. The controllers are miniaturised in size at just 2.6 millimetres (mm) in height, while still delivering high power.
Designed for control and positioning tasks, the new controllers can be operated with 1.4 amperes (A) in continuous operation and up to five A peak current. They can control DC micromotors, linear DC servomotors and brushless DC motors from six to 30 mm diameter from the FAULHABER range.
The new MC3001 motion controllers deliver high performance in a thumb sized module, allowing them to fit in confined spaces and add minimal bulk to mechanical systems. Their compact size makes them inherently advantageous in the fields of machine construction, laboratory technology and robotics.
As well as the new motion controllers, EMS will be showcasing the FAULHABER integrated speed controller that can be combined with its BXT range of motors. The high-performance driver measures less than seven mm in length, making it ideal for projects that need exact speeds and high torques in a small space envelope.
The integrated speed controller enhances the precision and consistency of the BXT motors, which already offer an unmatched ratio of torque to weight and size. The superior combination is particularly beneficial in micromotor-powered handheld instruments, such as surgical and dental tools, where users need absolute control over their devices.
“As the sole UK supplier of FAULHABER, the Engineering Design Show provides the ideal opportunity for us to showcase its high performance line,” said Stewart Goulding, managing director of EMS. “Exhibiting at the event will allow us to build connections with new and existing customers from a range of industries at the forefront of design engineering.
“Brimming with cutting edge technologies, the Engineering Design Show provides us with an inspiring environment to showcase our high performance FAULHABER ranges, and the opportunity to get involved in more pioneering design engineering projects.”
