ReNew Power leverages VR/AR to drive clean energy efforts
Librestream’s Onsight solution, a virtual reality (VR)/augmented reality (AR) platform, is set to support ReNew Power’s sustainability and clean energy efforts in India.
Remote technology platform Librestream has announced it has added ReNew Power, a renewable energy company in India, to its customer base.
The addition aims to highlight the critical role remote technology plays in helping companies reach corporate sustainability goals.
Librestream’s Onsight platform offers capabilities for holistic remote collaboration between workers, contractors and subject matter experts (SMEs). It thereby enables organisations to reduce unnecessary travel to locations when an issue can be resolved remotely.

In turn, it will help decrease organisational carbon footprint and enhance productivity through ‘just-in-time’ learning and training, furthering safety for deskless workers.
This announcement comes on the heels of India announcing targets to achieve 500GW of non-fossil fuel electricity capacity and derive 50% of energy from renewable resources by 2030.
The announcement is the latest step by ReNew Power to transition away from fossil fuels and meet the rising demand for energy in India in a sustainable manner.
ReNew reportedly identified Librestream to support the enhancement of their wind and solar operations as they address low network connectivity, limited specialised worker availability and seamless connectivity between remote experts and field technicians.
Mike Murphy, VP of Global Markets at Librestream, commented on the announcement in a statement, “We are excited to work with ReNew Power and help them achieve their long-term sustainability efforts and goals. (…) Organisations are increasingly adopting AR solutions to meet their renewable energy goals and overcome the challenges associated with achieving them.”
