Swiss AI robotics company ANYbotics has launched Data Navigator, an asset management platform that uses robot-collected data for preventive maintenance strategies in the energy, metals, mining, and oil & gas sectors.
Data Navigator transforms data collected by the company’s ANYmal robots into insights, aiming to provide a comprehensive view of asset health and enabling preventive maintenance strategies that minimise downtime and optimise operations.
According to ANYbotics in a release, by centralising multiple key asset condition data types, such as thermal, acoustic, visual, and gas readings, the Data Navigator platform simplifies asset health assessments and provides trend monitoring for preventive maintenance.
This allows companies to predict potential failures before they occur, saving time and resources.

Commenting in a release was Péter Fankhauser, co-founder and CEO of ANYbotics: “Robotic inspection offers maximum value when the resulting data is readily available and actionable to those who need it most: the maintenance and reliability teams responsible for asset management and critical infrastructure.
“Data Navigator is the key to unlocking that value, providing seamless access to asset health insights generated by ANYmal robots. Data Navigator empowers teams to monitor trends and make informed decisions, optimise maintenance schedules, and ultimately ensure continued plant uptime and the efficiency of operations.”
ANYbotics cites recent successful pilot programmes with three different industrial companies – chemicals company W.R Grace, Dutch corporation DSM-Firmenich and stainless steel company Outokumpu – from which the platform analysed over 2,500 ANYmal inspections in two weeks.
Said Thorsten Piniek, VP Health and Safety, Outokumpu: “Data Navigator will allow us to compare historical data, see trends, and get warnings based on anomalies. This will allow us to schedule and prioritize necessary maintenance work before failures occur.”
Added Patrik D’Allens, Head Technical Services, DSM-Firmenich: “To us it was important that the data stays on our servers. We installed Data Navigator as an on-premise, air-gapped solution for data privacy, keeping data secure on-site.”
The launch of ANYbotics’ platform comes just over two months after the company announced a $60 million raise, bringing the nine-year old company’s totally financing to over $130 million.
The financing is intended to drive the company’s expansion into the US market, led by Qualcomm Ventures and Supernova Invest, with participation from TDK Ventures and other new investors.
