Peperami adds Pizza Buns to growing product portfolio
To drive the demand for chilled meat snacks, Peperami has added new Pizza Buns adding to its product portfolio.
The leading snack brand said it has developed these convenient, chilled meat snacks to fill a gap in the market. The new ready-to-eat Pizza Buns are mess-free and full of flavour, ideal for consumers to enjoy on-the-go or as a lunchtime snack.
Available in selected stores now before rolling out to other supermarkets, the new Pizza Buns range is completely unique to anything the brand has produced before.
Chilled meat snacks is one of the fastest growing categories. The category value has grown by 10.8 per cent in the last 12 months and is now worth over a quarter of a billion pounds, with sales at a value of £259 million, according to the brand.
As this trend gathers momentum and consumers seek out more flavoursome meat snacks, the new Pizza Buns meet this demand by offering shoppers a high-protein and convenient snack.
The new Pizza Buns contain more than 10g of protein and the buns make a more filling snack, filled with salami, a rich slice of cheese and tomato herb sauce.
They come in two great Peperami flavours – Original or Hot. Both flavours are available in two sizes: singles (75g, RRP £1.50) and multipack (4 x 40g, RRP £2.75) each packed in a case of eight units and have five months shelf life.
