Interfood Technology has celebrated another award win in a year that sees the business mark a quarter of a century of supplying equipment and services to the UK and Ireland food industry.

Interfood proved victorious in the ‘Best Machinery/Equipment Supplier’ category of the 2024 FMT (Food Management Today) Food Industry Awards, a scheme designed to promote innovation, excellent service and great products from the many different sectors of food production, manufacturing and retailing.

The Awards were presented on 27 June as part of a business lunch at the Royal Garden Hotel in London which saw over 250 guests gather to recognise the best the food industry has to offer. World renowned celebrity chef and TV presenter Michel Roux Jr presented awards in 16 categories, ranging from those who supply ingredients and services through to the manufacturers of the products that make it onto the nation’s tables.

James Sydenham, director of Interfood, commented: “This is our fifth time winning a best equipment supplier award but the first in the FMT Awards scheme. Any award is obviously gratefully received but it seemed even more special that it happened in such a milestone year for the business. It is rewarding that some 25 years since forming Interfood we get independent recognition that we seem to be doing it right.”

Rob Unwin, managing director of Interfood, added: “This is an acknowledgement not only for all the hard work of our own employees but also for those of our partnering equipment manufacturers who are so important in ensuring that we can continue to achieve the levels of quality, service and support which we see as fundamental to our business. I’d also like to congratulate all the other award winners who helped to put a spotlight on best practice in an industry of which we are justifiably proud to be a part.”
