Lucky Saint launches alcohol-free lemon lager

Lucky Saint has announced the release of its newest offering, the Alcohol-Free Superior Lemon Lager. With the goal of making Lemon Lager the summertime beverage of choice, the drink combines the crisp notes of Lucky Saint’s original Superior Unfiltered Lager with a squeeze of lemon juice.

Remaining true to Lucky Saint’s brewing values and fulfilling a desire to create a product which is both healthy and refreshing, the Superior Lemon Lager uses only natural ingredients – the beer is low in sugar and contains 80 calories per can. The beer is left unfiltered for maximum flavour and body.

Lucky Saint’s launch joins the existing lineup of the award-winning Alcohol-Free Superior Unfiltered Lager and Hazy IPA.

Commenting on the launch, Luke Boase, founder of Lucky Saint noted it is 100 years since Bavarian innkeeper Franz Xaver Kugler mixed lemonade with lager, calling it Radlermass (‘cyclist’s litre’), ensuring all the cyclists in his beer garden had enough to drink.

Since 1922 radler, or shandy as it’s become known in the UK, has been providing an alternative to lager and soft drinks on those occasions that call for pure refreshment.

Lucky Saint’s Superior Lemon Lager is a modern take on this classic drink: alcohol-free, made with all natural ingredients and by containing just 1.5g of sugar per 100ml, it’s low in sugar and ready to provide refreshment.

“We have seen Lucky Saint stretch into new occasions over the past six years, so much so that 76% of people think it’s acceptable to enjoy an alcohol-free beer at their desk at work,” Boase added. “For the other 24%, now there’s Lemon Lager – the perfect drink all-day long, all-week round.”

Lucky Saint Superior Lemon Lager will be available from the website – luckysaint.co – as well as Tesco from March 31st. This will be followed by nationwide availability in Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Morrisons, and Ocado, just in time for summer.
