Lenze showcases machine efficiency at SPS 2025

Lenze showcases innovation at SPS 2025 in Nuremberg. The company will present advanced solutions to enhance productivity and energy efficiency in mechanical engineering. The exhibition includes a MotoGP simulator, demonstrating Lenze’s comprehensive motion expertise, and new products like the MF motor m650-F and i950 multi drive, promising compact and dynamic drive systems.


At the SPS 2025 event in Nuremberg from 25 to 27 November, Lenze will unveil a robust portfolio designed to advance modern mechanical engineering. Located in Hall 7, Stand 391, the company aims to address challenges such as workforce shortages, cost pressures, and the demand for innovation. Attendees will witness practical innovations aimed at boosting efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability within the industry.

A highlight of the event is the debut of the MF motor m650-F, an evolution of Lenze’s m500 motor platform. This motor offers efficiency class IE3, an improvement from the previous IE2, and integrates features like spring-applied brakes and space-saving incremental encoders. Its compact design makes it two sizes smaller than typical three-phase motors, offering dynamic, energy-efficient performance unaffected by global efficiency directives. When paired with Lenze’s gearboxes and variable frequency drives (VFDs), the m650-F forms a powerful and compact drive system.

Another significant introduction is the i950 multi drive, an enhancement to Lenze’s modular drive systems. Its integration of a DC rail system into the i950 servo drive platform simplifies cabling and reduces time and cost. With a power range of 0.55 to 30 kW and improved overload capacity, the i950 multi drive is suitable for complex, multi-axis applications such as automated packaging lines and high-precision machinery.

Lenze’s i650 motec VFD adds to the portfolio with its decentralized intelligence, enabling self-sufficient machine modules through integrated Logic PLC and table positioning. It supports IIoT applications and predictive maintenance via IO-Link master functionality. The regenerative module further enhances energy efficiency by feeding braking energy back into the mains. Combined with IE5/IE6 synchronous motors, this system is compact and environmentally friendly.

The company also highlights its modular machine concepts supported by Lenze FAST Application Software and PLC Designer 4.1. These tools facilitate the creation of modular software architectures, reducing engineering errors and time-to-market. Open standards such as EtherCAT, PROFINET, and OPC UA ensure seamless integration into existing systems.

Demonstrating its motion expertise, Lenze will feature a MotoGP motorcycle simulator from sevensim, showcasing a realistic five-axis application. This includes components like the Motion Controller c520 and Direct Drive, illustrating Lenze’s end-to-end solutions for coordinated multi-axis applications. The innovative SNR linear axes are particularly noted for their role in realistic drift simulations within the simulator.
