Kurtz Ersa Inc., a leading supplier of electronics production equipment, today announced the retirement of Jean Verchere, a respected and valued colleague, after an impressive 30-year career dedicated to advancing the electronics manufacturing industry. Verchere’s journey with Kurtz Ersa began in 1994 in Germany, where his industry expertise, strong relationships, and customer-first mindset played an instrumental role in building the company’s international footprint.

Verchere’s career with Kurtz Ersa has been marked by extensive global contributions. Initially hired as Export Manager for Ersa machines, he was responsible for markets spanning Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia, including France, the UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Denmark, Poland, Russia, Brazil, Chile, India, Korea, Israel and South Africa. Verchere transitioned to the United States in 2004, where he played a critical role in supporting the North American market, overseeing the West Coast and Southwest regions and assisting the sales team in Mexico. His work strengthened Kurtz Ersa’s reputation across multiple continents, leaving an enduring legacy of innovation and reliability.

Bernd Schenker, President of Kurtz Ersa Asia, shared his reflections on Jean’s impactful career: “In 1994 we hired Jean as the Export Manager at Ersa machines. He came from DEK and brought a lot of knowledge and good connections to important players in the industry. Together with him and our late colleague Peter Lensch, we expanded our global network and established strong partnerships. Jean was highly regarded by our customers and partners alike, always putting them at the heart of his work. Internally, he was a beloved colleague and friend with a positive spirit, and he even taught us Germans about global culinary delicacies! Jean has always been an ERSA champion at heart, one of us. We wish him all the best for his well-deserved retirement, with health and happiness to pursue old and new hobbies.”

Albrecht Breck, President and COO at Kurtz Ersa, Inc., who worked alongside Jean in Germany, also expressed his appreciation: “I had the pleasure of working with Jean for over ten years in Germany during my time in Customer Support and Key Accounts. Jean consistently demonstrated a strong customer orientation and cultivated successful, close relationships with both his sales representatives and clients. In 2004, he relocated with his family to the United States, where he played a pivotal role in growing ERSA’s presence in the North American market. Jean has always been a loyal employee and a valued friend to the Ersa family. We will miss him greatly and wish him all the best in his retirement.”

In North America, Jean’s impact was equally profound. Ernie Grice, Vice President of Sales at Kurtz Ersa Inc., reflected on Jean’s influence in the region: “When Jean and his family moved to the US from Germany, we welcomed him into our North American Sales Team. Jean covered Canada, the Western US, and supported our new Mexican Sales Team. His contributions were meaningful and helped us grow the North American division significantly. I wish Jean the very best in his retirement.”

Verchere’s dedication, expertise and customer-centric approach have left an indelible mark on Kurtz Ersa and the global electronics manufacturing landscape. His legacy of professionalism, kindness, and commitment will always be remembered and celebrated at Kurtz Ersa.
