Keysight unveils new solutions for high-power EV charging. As electrification accelerates, the demand for advanced charging infrastructure grows. Keysight’s innovative test solutions support engineers, ensuring compliance with global standards and reducing development risks, paving the way for reliable next-generation electric vehicle charging systems.


Keysight Technologies, Inc. has announced two pioneering electric vehicle (EV) charging test solutions designed to support the industry’s shift towards high-power and megawatt-level charging. As the pace of electrification quickens, the demand for sophisticated charging infrastructure is mounting, encompassing everything from rapid passenger vehicle charging to megawatt-level charging for heavy-duty transport and industrial fleets. Manufacturers and engineers are confronted with increasing complexities, including interoperability challenges, stringent safety requirements, and evolving international standards such as MCS, CCS, ISO 15118, GB/T, and CHAdeMO. Without robust and scalable testing, delays, costly redesigns, and inconsistent real-world performance are significant risks.

Keysight’s solutions address these challenges by offering future-ready test systems that integrate high-power hardware, software-defined scalability, and standards compliance. These innovations provide flexibility and scalability, enabling manufacturers to expedite development and stay ahead of emerging testing demands.

The SL2600A Megawatt Charging Discovery System facilitates the validation of next-generation megawatt charging for heavy-duty applications, with support for voltages up to 1,500 V and currents up to 1,500 A. Its modular, upgradable architecture allows testing of both electric vehicles and charging stations within a single system, enhancing flexibility and reducing total cost of ownership. Designed with future standards such as NACS and CCS in mind, the SL2600A ensures readiness for evolving charging ecosystems while safeguarding long-term test infrastructure investments.

Complementing this, the enhanced SL1047A Scienlab Charging Discovery System – High-Power Series offers software-scalable performance, starting at 400 A and 1,000 V, and can expand up to 800 A and 1,500 V without hardware replacement. Supporting all global charging standards, including full compliance with GB/T 2024, it enables comprehensive conformance and interoperability testing for worldwide EV charging ecosystems. The system also introduces improved charging communication test capabilities to meet increasingly complex EV charging requirements.

Together, these solutions assist customers in reducing development risk, accelerating time-to-market, and delivering reliable, standards-compliant charging systems for next-generation EVs.
