Iron Mountain puts Dexory’s AI and robotic solution into UK warehouses
Dexory, a provider of advanced AI and robotics solutions, unveiled its collaboration with Iron Mountain, a entity in information management, storage innovation, data centre infrastructure, and asset lifecycle management. Since 2021, Iron Mountain has ventured into third-party logistics (3PL) services, revolutionising the Warehouse & Logistics sector with its dynamic and innovative solutions. The firm has selected DexoryView as its chosen inventory and tracking solution for four key Iron Mountain warehouses located at Kettering Symmetry Park, Lutterworth Magna Park North, and Rugby Symmetry Park.
Iron Mountain sought an automated approach for inventory management and space optimisation in these warehouses, eschewing traditional manual methods. Leveraging Dexory’s technology, which combines potent analytics with autonomous robots, Iron Mountain can now scan 15,000 locations per hour without disrupting daily operations. This advancement enables the company to scrutinise pallet lifecycle within its warehouses, enhancing operational efficiency significantly. Furthermore, Iron Mountain gains comprehensive stock visibility and can monitor inventory movements, offering deeper insights for continuous enhancements across all sites.
Maria Torrent-March, Warehousing & Logistics Strategy Director at Iron Mountain, stated: “Adopting a forward-thinking, innovative inventory solution is crucial to our warehousing strategy. Dexory’s technology realises our vision for automation and efficiency, particularly in scenarios with high stock rotation, thus reducing our operational expenses.”
Dexory’s robots are engineered to measure, count, track, and locate inventory throughout warehouses as they navigate the racks seamlessly. The data is transmitted in real-time to the DexoryView warehouse digital twin platform, providing complete visibility over warehouse operations. By employing autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and the AI-driven DexoryView platform, Iron Mountain enhances process compliance, stock counting accuracy, and the inventory team’s response time.
Oana Jinga, Chief Commercial Officer at Dexory, commented: “We’re delighted that Iron Mountain has chosen our data-driven technology for their UK warehouses. Introducing DexoryView will enable them to achieve superior efficiency and precision in stock management.”
Dexory stands out in the market by combining inventory-scanning robots with robust warehouse analytics, all developed and maintained in-house.
