Innophos VersaCal Bright – a science-backed, clean-label solution – delivers the whiteness and brightness of titanium dioxide (TiO₂), with the added benefit of essential nutrients.
The leading innovator in specialty phosphates said the launch follows the US Food and Drug Administration’s recent approval of Innophos’ petition to use calcium phosphate as a safe colour additive in specific food categories, marking a significant regulatory milestone for food manufacturers.
Innophos’ new VersaCal Bright has been approved for use in donut sugar, sugar for coated candies, white candy melts, and ready-to-eat chicken products – offering a safe, effective alternative to TiO₂ in response to growing consumer and regulatory concerns.
