InnoElectro 2025: Electronics Manufacturing Heavyweights Look Forward to Large-Scale April Gathering in Budapest

InnoElectro 2025, the flagship event of the Hungarian electronics industry, will showcase the industry’s most exciting solutions and offer more than 50 presentations between April 8 and 10 at the Budapest Olympic Center. The gathering, which has been growing and developing year by year, is now of regional importance, with companies from nearly 30 countries represented. The Hungarian Electronics Society’s fifth edition of the event is also a great opportunity to discuss business strategies in the current turbulent economic climate.
Last year, InnoElectro attracted around two thousand five hundred visitors and nearly seven hundred companies exhibiting the latest equipment and technologies in electronics manufacturing and production on 3,500 square meters. Complemented with a strong speaker line-up, this year’s event is set to deliver another dynamic increase in attendance, just like it was the case last time around.

“This market deserves a truly professional exhibition. InnoElectro’s evolution has made it possible for everybody to see and, if appropriate, test the latest developments of electronics manufacturing and meet up with the representatives of equipment manufacturers without having to leave the country,” Csaba Berta, managing director of Danutek Kft. says.
The exhibit floor will feature 70 corporate booths, while the stage will host renowned experts sharing their thoughts on everything from manufacturing technology, defense and aerospace, cybersecurity, engineer education or the role of artificial intelligence in electronics design. The professional content will be taken to a whole new level thanks to the concurrent one-day conference of US-based SMTA (Surface Mount Technology Association) focusing on manufacturing technology.
Resilience strategies in the making
Given the current turbulent market conditions, it couldn’t be more timely to thoroughly discuss strategies for coping with competition from the East, the pressure of rising labor and material costs and the ongoing uncertainty of geopolitical tension.
Experts agree that increasing demand for electronic solutions has brought many new players into the market.
“Many of the suppliers are now Asian, but their emergence wouldn’t make the market bigger, only competition, and those fresh rivals will, by necessity, take market share away from local stakeholders,“ Gábor Ozsváth, director of sales of Elas Kft. notes who believes that the volume of products manufactured in these new projects is not even close to the numbers that are standard in automotive. “It’s unclear how these products could be scaled up properly,” he adds.
The nearshoring phenomenon that aims to bring production back to Europe from far-flung locations may trigger more orders, but there is fierce competition for these returning capacities, with suppliers driven into a price bidding war. And it may not be worth your while to be a part of it.
“We believe in branding, we don’t want to be the cheapest, and we do believe that we can attract new customers with our capabilities and the complexity of our services,” says Gyula Ulrich development manager, outlining the approach of Z Elektronika Kft.
InnoElectro puts a lot of emphasis on such business policy and strategy-related dilemmas, among others, in roundtable discussions and presentations.
Spotlight on youth and excellence
The event will also provide a special platform for the electronics industry’s master craftsmen. The IPC Hand Soldering Competition, organized by the international not-for-profit industry association IPC, is looking for the country’s most skilled soldering master to represent Hungary at the World Championship at Productronica in Munich, Germany. The youngest will also have a chance to prove themselves in the Soldering Competition for Secondary School Students, held by the Hungarian Electronics Society (MELT).
In 2025, MELT will once again reward the most innovative solutions in the field with the InnoElectro Grand Prize, which will be presented at the exhibition.
In addition to the above, thanks to the organizers, visitors can look forward to surprises as well. They can also participate free of charge after registering online.
