Immensa, a leader in digital inventory solutions and on-demand manufacturing, has expanded its European operations by joining Shell’s Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam (ETCA). This strategic move positions Immensa to enhance its influence in the region and contribute significantly to the innovative ecosystem at ETCA.
As part of this collaboration, Immensa will establish its European Centre of Excellence for Advanced Manufacturing at ETCA. The company will implement a Factory-as-a-Service model to deliver digital supply chain solutions across Europe. In partnership with Shell’s Additive Manufacturing team, Immensa will co-manage ETCA’s 3D printing Centre of Excellence and focus on spare parts digitisation and on-demand manufacturing.
ETCA serves as a purpose-built environment fostering advanced industrial manufacturing, offering a platform where industry, technology, and research converge to accelerate the energy transition. From its base in Amsterdam, Immensa will support clients in reducing physical inventory, shortening lead times, and enhancing supply-chain resilience through localised digital production.
Sarah Street, Director of ETCA, stated, “As an open innovation hub, we enable the acceleration of technology solutions through collaboration. We welcome partners who bring expertise and quality to help us accelerate the energy transition towards cleaner solutions.” Julian Callanan, Immensa’s Chief Operating Officer, added, “ETCA provides the right ecosystem for our next phase of European growth. The campus enables us to deliver advanced manufacturing solutions closer to our customers while maintaining the high standards required in regulated industries.”
Initial focus areas for this partnership include long-lead spare parts for pumps, compressors, and valves, which are crucial to reducing downtime and improving parts availability for industrial operators.
