Iberdrola and Nissan partner on e-mobility in Italy

Iberdrola’s Smart Mobility package will be offered to Nissan customers who purchase the LEAF, Ariya and Townstar models.

The Iberdrola package includes the installation of a Wallbox Pulsar Plus electric charging station along with electricity bill discounts and a range of other products and services including rooftop solar, energy storage and heat pumps.

The Wallbox Pulsar Plus device is designed to optimise home charging performance and can be integrated with an optional Powerboost accessory to modulate the energy used to recharge the car depending on household consumption.

In addition, through a dedicated app, customers can manage access, schedule charging, monitor energy consumption and view the charging history.

“Developing our Smart Mobility offering and making it increasingly accessible to customers is part of [the green transition] strategy,” says Lorenzo Costantini, country manager of Iberdrola.

“With Nissan, we have entered into a partnership that reinforces our mission towards an increasingly sustainable future.”

The LEAF is the best known of Nissan’s electric vehicle offerings, while the Ariya is the company’s first 100% electric SUV coupe and the Townstar a compact commercial vehicle aimed at urban business and last mile deliveries.

Marco Toro, President and CEO of Nissan Italy, adds that the company is extending its offer to EV customers with a 360° package of products and services.

“Our customers can have a broader and more convenient shopping experience, combining electric mobility solutions and economic advantages in energy supply and related services.”

Iberdrola has been running a broadly similar partnership with Toyota in Spain.
