HellermannTyton boosts its UV-resistant portfolio
HellermannTyton has bolstered its range of cable identification systems with the launch of its first environmentally friendly, UV-resistant loop cable markers.
HellermannTyton has designed loop cable markers that do not require cable ties, saving customers a significant amount of time and money, as well as minimising plastic waste.
Up to now, much of the industry only offered cable marking solutions with cable ties for the sole use of pre-assembly; whereas HellermannTyton’s new loop cable markers can be used for post-assembly and have a recess built-in to enable the use of cable ties if desired.
As part of HellermannTyton’s expansion into the renewables industry, the loop cable markers are specifically designed for applications where cables are continuously exposed to UV light such as within solar plants, or for use with air source heat pumps. They are also suitable for any indoor or outdoor applications requiring identification including maintenance, assembly, test and inspection, electrical, mechanical engineering, maintenance, and panel building.
Printable with HellermannTyton’s premium range of thermal transfer printers, the loop cable markers consist of a robust and flexible halogen-free polyurethane material; ensuring their suitability for harsh external applications where UV resistance is a necessity.
Mary Arrowsmith, Product Manager for HellermannTyton comments, “We are delighted to launch loop cable markers not only to cater to the solar industry; but also, for many of our customers who will be able to save a significant amount of time by applying markers without cable ties. We are proud to be the first supplier to bring this product to the industry as, for the first time, our customers will have access to a solution that they can use for post-assembly and without cable ties, improving their efficiencies in the process.
“As the environmental impact of our products are of high importance to our operations, we are proud to have developed a product that will not only benefit our customers but also the environment through the reduction of plastic waste.”
Designed with a specially developed locking mechanism to prevent the tags from falling, the loop cable markers have a cable diameter of 2.8mm to 8mm and an operating temperature between +25ºC to -125ºC to cater for a vast array of applications.
