Gin Premier Cru launching in the UK

Summer is here, along with the promise of balmy evenings, perfect for a well-mixed, chilled, beautifully garnished gin and tonic.

Enter Palmaràe, a new-to-world, award-winning, golden, Gin Premier Cru, launching in the UK, Marrakech & Cote D’Azur this summer, promising to elevate and enhance the gin category.

Recently awarded Master, the highest accolade at the Spirits Business Gin Masters 2024, Palmaràe Gin Premier Cru pairs French copper pot distilling and rich and diverse botanicals born from Marrakech.

Orange blossom, Mandarin, Moroccan mint, Medjool dates, and Fleur de Sel de Marrakech are sourced from small batch artisanal suppliers and meticulously blended by Master Distiller and ‘Icon of Gin’, Miko Abouaf, to create a smooth yet complex golden-hued gin, expertly crafted for cocktails, and perfectly smooth enough to sip over ice.

Co-founded by Olly Horner and Livio Bisterzo of Spirit of the Oasis. Palmaràe Gin Premier Cru takes inspiration and captures the spirit of the famous Palmeraie palm oasis located just outside the Medina in Marrakech.

Olly Horner, co-founder & CEO notes the continued rise in consumer demand for premium spirits.

“It has inspired us to experiment with new and exciting botanicals with unique flavour profiles, which we believe will resonate with adventurous consumers looking for an elevated experience,” Horner adds

Miko Abouaf, master distiller, says the distilling techniques perfected over generations in the Cognac region lay the foundation for “unparalleled excellence”.

“When harmonised with the exceptionally pure spirit and water, and infused with the diverse botanicals sourced from Marrakech, the result is a distinctive and multifaceted liquid,” he notes.

“I am confident that this creation will stand as an exceptional addition to the premium gin category, offering a truly remarkable experience.”

Available direct to consumer via their website, Palmaràe has recently launched in Hide, Maison Estelle, The Arts Club, Louie, Bacchanalia, 1Hotel, The Roof Gardens, Robuchon Group, Seabird, Gold and Gothic Bar with further high‐end luxury listings in the trade and select luxury retailers to follow in the UK, Marrakech and Côte d’Azur. Ebertec will distribute in Morocco and MP8 in France, to complete the initial three market launch.

Palmaràe is bottled in an exquisite glazed, ceramic vessel that breaks with gin category tradition to honour the artistic expression and ceramic craftmanship, which has been distinct to North Africa for centuries. In a commitment to keeping this tradition as sustainable as possible, Palmaràe are working on developing a ‘buy back’ and a refilling scheme, whereby the cost of each bottle returned can be redeemed against future orders or refilled and reused on site.
