Gaia Energy, a specialist in retrofit and renewable energy solutions, has bolstered its leadership team with two strategic appointments to support its ongoing expansion. Denis Hennigan joins as Strategic Development Director, while Marc Goudie takes on the role of Head of Decarbonisation. Both bring significant expertise from their previous roles at Ecogee, enhancing Gaia Energy’s capabilities in energy efficiency and compliance.
Hennigan, with extensive experience in business development within the energy sector, is set to drive growth and establish strategic partnerships, aiming to increase Gaia Energy’s market presence. Since its inception in 2020, rebranded from Gray North West, the company has consistently reported year-on-year growth and is poised to achieve a £5 million turnover this year.
Goudie will oversee the delivery of energy efficiency projects, focusing on key government-backed schemes such as ECO4, GBIS, SHDF Wave 3, and Local Authority Warm Homes programmes. His expertise is crucial for the operational execution of these initiatives.
Liam Gray, Founder and Managing Director of Gaia Energy, expressed enthusiasm for the new hires, stating that their combined experience will be critical as the company expands its services. Hennigan also remarked on the exciting opportunity to contribute to Gaia Energy’s strategic growth amidst increasing demand for energy-efficient solutions.
Gaia Energy is dedicated to enhancing energy performance and reducing environmental impact in residential and commercial projects, aligning with the UK’s net-zero objectives. The company collaborates with local authorities, housing providers, private landlords, and homeowners to deliver upgrades through major schemes. Additionally, it offers renewable energy solutions, such as solar PV and battery storage, to commercial clients.
Operating from carbon-neutral offices in Knowsley Business Park, Gaia Energy prioritises sustainable practices and local supplier partnerships. It also engages with the local community, supporting initiatives like the Sefton Pantry and sponsoring local youth sports.
