UK-based Furyan Marine Technology has released details of a second model in its hybrid boat lineup, the F35 Eco Hybrid Coupe. Based on the same underpinnings as its F35 Eco Hybrid Open Sports Cruiser, the company says both versions are designed to meet CE Category B.

Propulsion is provided by the company’s Cascade drive system, comprising two electric motors with a combined output of 400kW, coupled to a 90kW generator and 190kWh battery, which is claimed to offer a 68% fuel saving over a conventional system. The electric motors can be run either individually or paired when full performance is required.

Further extending the F35 range’s sustainability credentials is a hull constructed from natural fiber composites, which both reduced weight compared with traditional GRP and carbon emissions (claimed to be 90% less than aluminum construction and 97% lower than CFRP).
