Fujitsu pools digital twin IoT resources to advance its Trusted Society
A new partnership between Hexagon and Fujitsu Limited will see the two provide joint use cases leveraging their respective digital twin technologies and solutions to drive headway towards ‘Trusted Society’.
Fujitsu’s Trusted Society is described by the information and communications services provider as advancing a safe, secure and sustainable society by implementing technologies to solve social problems alongside all stakeholders.
The partnership will involve Fujitsu joining hands with the information technology company’s safety, infrastructure & geospatial division.
The two will pool their digital twin technologies and solutions, including IoT sensors, data processing, AI analysis and advanced data visualisation in the cloud, and high-performance computing infrastructure.

Deployment of the combined resources are hoped to develop joint solutions that deliver richer information and insights to customers in government, the public sector, transportation and utilities to help reduce emissions, increase safety, and optimise operations.
“Our goal at Fujitsu is to realise our vision for a ‘Trusted Society’,” commented Yoshinami Takahashi, Fujitsu executive vice president and vice head. “Partnering with Hexagon will allow us to extend our reach and provide even greater value to cities and regions around the world.”

The new global partnership builds from the companies’ work to solve urban sustainability challenges in Europe.
This includes efforts to better manage and understand the impacts of shared mobility services in Germany, including a project with the city of Munich.
The partnership was announced at HxGN LIVE Global 2022, Hexagon’s digital technology conference.
