Fossil Free Marine selects Swede Ship Composite for production of fossil-free fuel station
Following a procurement process, Fossil Free Marine has selected Swede Ship Composite to supply the first full-scale commercial unit of its newly developed unmanned floating marine fuel station.
Under the agreement, Swede Ship Composite will begin manufacturing the fuel station in January 2022, with deployment and the start of commercial operations scheduled to happen within the first half of 2022.

Designed by Fossil Free Marine’s co-founder, Niklas Sjöö, the first units have been partly funded by grants from KlimatKlivet, which translates as ‘climate leap’. The grant is part of a Swedish government scheme that aims to support local climate investments and will cover incremental costs associated with supplying renewable fuels.
The first full-scale unit will be installed in Sweden close to central Stockholm and will enable pleasure and commercial vessels to switch to using renewable fuels.
