Flagship Care Home to be Built in Fleet
Midas Construction has been chosen to deliver the first in a new generation of care homes in Fleet, Hampshire, on behalf of Principle Care Homes.
Heron Manor is set to be a flagship project for Principle, which has been co-founded by brother and sister team Ashish and Nisha Goyal.
The new state-of-the-art facility, located on Reading Road North, will see the creation of a 60-bedroom care home and will provide residential and dementia care as well as including features such as a physiotherapy suite, exercise studio and hydrotherapy pool.
The new building will allow the development to have the best facilities, layout and residents’ accommodation, whilst also being modern in concept. The building has also been meticulously designed by DWA Architects to respect the North Fleet Conservation Area.
In total, there will be 18 bedrooms on the ground floor, 21 bedrooms on the first floor and 21 bedrooms on the second floor. The care home will provide residential, nursing and dementia care and other facilities such as dayrooms, dining rooms, a bistro, a cinema and a hair salon.
Steve Lee, Director of Midas Construction’s Southampton-based Southern Division, said: “We are very pleased to be entrusted to deliver this inaugural scheme for Principle Care Homes and to be building a facility which will meet the needs of people in the Fleet area for many years to come.”
Heron Manor is scheduled to open in spring 2023 and is one of two projects currently being brought forward by Principle Care Homes as it looks to become an established operator in the care sector, with the second due to be built in Chelmsford, Essex.
Midas has a growing reputation in the care sector, working on behalf of both private operators and local authorities. In the last five years this has seen the completion of 15 projects, with a combined value in excess of £100 million and providing 627 bed spaces.
