Farnell EMEA to showcase edge AI at Embedded World

Farnell EMEA returns to Embedded World 2026 in March. The company will present workshops, live demonstrations, and community activities aimed at accelerating engineers from concept to execution. Attendees will explore Edge AI and IoT technologies through interactive experiences, supported by free development kits and expert guidance.

Farnell EMEA has confirmed its participation in Embedded World 2026, scheduled for 10–12 March at Nürnberg Messe, Germany. Visitors can locate Farnell at Hall 3A, Stand 119, where the company will offer a comprehensive programme of hands-on workshops, live demonstrations, and community-driven activities designed to expedite engineering projects from concept to implementation.

The emphasis this year is on practical enablement, inviting engineers to delve into the latest advancements in Edge AI, embedded intelligence, IoT, and connectivity through real-world applications and guided interactive experiences. Over the three-day event, Farnell will conduct expert-led workshops, each supplemented by complimentary development kits. Workshops include topics such as Edge AI with Raspberry Pi 5, Vision AI with STM32MP135F, and AI acceleration with Microchip PolarFire SoC.

As part of the DevKit HQ initiative, Farnell will demonstrate how engineers can construct, deploy, and securely connect Edge AI projects using an extensive range of development kits and single-board computers. Technologies showcased will feature products from leading suppliers like Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and STMicroelectronics.

Attendees will also have the chance to obtain early access to a Renesas development kit, an affordable, entry-level prototyping platform from the Renesas RA family, with only 300 kits available during the event. Andrew Weatherill, VP Global Product at Farnell, stated, “Embedded World is a pivotal moment to engage with engineers and understand the challenges they’re tackling today. Our focus is on hands-on enablement — equipping engineers with tools, guidance, and practical examples to swiftly and confidently adopt technologies like Edge AI and IoT.”

Community interaction will be integral at the Farnell stand, offering opportunities to meet the element14 community, participate in challenges and RoadTests, and connect with Mayer Makes from the element14 presents YouTube channel.
