Power4Future, part of Italian shipbuilding company Fincantieri, is venturing into the maritime batteries sector. Andrea Colavitto, Power4Future’s head of research and innovation, told Electric & Hybrid Marine Technology International that the company’s battery system, which features a flexible design and LFP chemistry, is adaptable for various vessels. In the interview at Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo Europe in Amsterdam, he went on to explain that the company designs all safety features in-house for total control and that the battery system is agnostic, making it suitable for diverse applications.
