French global energy player Engie has today revealed it has chosen a technology platform from UK-headquartered Kaluza to roll out to 20 million business-to-consumer contracts.

Engie says it will deploy Kaluza’s Energy Intelligence Platform to enhance customer experience and “accelerate the shift to smarter, cleaner energy”.

The multi-year, multi-market agreement follows an evaluation of several technology providers.

Kaluza’s says its platform is “built on cloud-native, modular infrastructure” and enables “energy companies to seamlessly integrate customer operations, optimise distributed energy assets and launch new services at scale”.

Biljana Kaitovic, managing director of Engie’s OneBtoC business, said the partnership with Kaluza “reflects ENGIE’s dedication to pursuing innovation in support of our net-zero ambitions. By leveraging real-time intelligence, we will strengthen our ability to deliver competitive, reliable and personalised services to our customers.”

Kaluza chief executive Melissa Gander said the deal is “more than a technology agreement”.
“By working in partnership, we can turn the challenges of electrification into opportunities for growth and long-term impact.”
