Endress+Hauser Temperature+System Products has significantly increased its development and production capabilities with the inauguration of a state-of-the-art facility in Nesselwang, located in Germany’s scenic Allgäu region. This €17 million investment underscores the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, directly enhancing the quality and availability of essential temperature measurement and system products for the food and beverage sector.
The newly constructed four-story building is designed to operate as carbon neutral, relying on geothermal heat and solar energy for its power needs. This commitment to climate-friendly operations aligns with the industry’s heightened focus on responsible resource management, setting a green benchmark for industrial production.
The expansion adds a substantial 3,500 square meters to the site’s usable floor area, crucial for the ongoing development of precision temperature instruments vital for process control, quality assurance, and safety throughout the food and drink production chain. The facility’s design promotes interaction and innovation among its approximately 150 employees, featuring a mix of quiet retreats and collaborative workspaces, complemented by a new staff restaurant to enhance employee well-being.
“This investment is part of our strategy to expand our market position as a global player and further enhance our attractiveness as an innovative employer in the Allgäu region,” stated Harald Hertweck, managing director of Endress+Hauser Temperature+System Products. Dr Peter Selders, Endress+Hauser Group CEO, echoed this sentiment, emphasising the company’s commitment to sustained, long-term success: “As a family-owned company, we think and act long term. We strive for sustainable success. That is why we are constantly investing in our global production and sales network.”
Endress+Hauser Temperature+System Products is recognised as a global leader in temperature measurement instruments and system products, employing over 800 people worldwide, with approximately 450 based at the Nesselwang main location. The new facility ensures the company can continue to deliver high-quality, precise measurement solutions required for processes ranging from pasteurisation to fermentation across the global food and beverage industry.
