EMS to feature motion control systems at Machine Building Live

Electro Mechanical Systems returns with advanced motion solutions. EMS will showcase FAULHABER’s latest DC motors and gearheads at Machine Building Live in Coventry. These innovations promise enhanced power and efficiency for compact, high-performance applications. Visit stand 208 to discuss technical support and project solutions with EMS experts.

Electro Mechanical Systems (EMS), a leading supplier of micro drive systems, is set to return to Machine Building Live at the National Agricultural Exhibition Centre in Coventry on 15 October 2025. This event will see EMS unveil the latest motion solutions from FAULHABER, including the new 1218 SXR and 1228 SXR DC motors, alongside the 22 and 32GPT HT gearheads. EMS’s Area Sales Managers will be present at stand 208 to offer technical advice and project support across various applications.

Machine Building Live consistently draws the most extensive assembly of machine building, systems integration, and factory automation experts under one roof. EMS’s participation will highlight motion drive solutions designed to optimise high-power, compact machine designs.

At the forefront of EMS’s exhibit will be the SXR DC motor family — notably the 1218 SXR and 1228 SXR models. These motors are engineered for higher power, efficiency, and flexibility, particularly suited for demanding miniature drive applications. With a hexagonal coil design, improved magnet materials, and optimised rotor balancing, these micro motors deliver smoother performance and enhanced thermal stability.

The SXR series seamlessly integrates with FAULHABER’s gearheads, making it suitable for precision fields such as medical technology, automation, and metrology. Additionally, the new 22GPT HT and 32GPT HT gearhead models will be showcased. These gearheads, featuring refined geometries and robust stainless-steel housing, offer maximum torque, smoother dynamics, and exceptional durability. Their construction supports high radial and axial loads, ensuring reliable performance even under harsh conditions or sudden load changes.

Dave Walsha, Sales and Marketing Director, remarked, “Machine builders seek motion solutions that deliver exceptional performance without occupying valuable space. As machines become smaller, micro drive technologies like those from FAULHABER are pivotal to this advancement.”

Events like Machine Building Live emphasise the critical collaboration between engineers, component suppliers, and system designers. They also provide an opportunity for EMS to demonstrate their extensive capabilities in custom drive system design and the latest developments in advanced drive systems.
