EDF acquires home insulation specialist Les ECO-Isolateurs
EDF Group has acquired the Les ECO-Isolateurs group, which specialises in insulation and other energy renovations in residential buildings.
The acquisition is aimed to strengthen EDF’s position in the home energy renovation market and it will supplement the range of services offered by its consumer service company IZI.
Les ECO-Isolateurs, headquartered in the city of Evreux, provides both exterior and interior home insulation services, including roofs, attics and floors, as well as the installation of heat pumps.

The group was established in 2010 and is a recognised player on the market, with an organisational model as close as possible to customers and high quality standards, an EDF statement states.
“EDF supports its customers in the energy transition, helping them to consume less and better,” says Lionel ZECRI, EDF Senior Vice President, Private Customers.
“Energy renovation is a major lever for reducing energy consumption and the acquisition of the Les ECO-Isolateurs group strengthens the EDF group’s position in this field.”
IZI by EDF launched in 2019 offers a broad range of home energy services including heating and cooling and ventilation, as well as electric vehicle charging station installation.
Les ECO-Isolateurs has 20 agencies throughout France, enabling the company to reach about 90% of the population, and counts 100,000 projects carried out to date.
The acquisition occurred on November 30, 2022 but was announced only later in December.
