Delta introduces integrated energy storage for EMEA industry

Delta launches a new energy storage solution for industry. The C-Series offers a compact, forklift-ready design with advanced safety features. It integrates seamlessly with existing systems, providing energy flexibility, reduced installation time, and potential cost savings for commercial and industrial users.

Delta, a global leader in power management and smart green solutions, has introduced its C-Series All-In-One Energy Storage Solution for commercial and industrial applications. This cutting-edge solution combines LFP battery packs, a Power Conditioning System (PCS), a liquid cooling system, and a unit controller, delivering a single-cabinet capacity of 125 kW / 261 kWh within a compact footprint of less than 1.5 square metres. Up to ten cabinets can be integrated for MW-scale energy storage in on-grid operation. The forklift-ready skid design eliminates the need for complex hoisting and underground trenching for cabling, significantly reducing on-site construction time and labour costs.

Harrison Yuan, Delta’s Head of Smarter Energy Solutions for the EMEA region, stated: “Branded as ‘Built to Simplify,’ our Delta C-Series ESS’ peak shaving, load and energy shifting, as well as power backup capabilities, help to address rising energy costs, energy security concerns, and grid instability while delivering energy flexibility and the potential for additional revenue to users. With its safety-optimised, space-saving design and intelligent features, the system ensures reliable operation, easy integration, and efficient deployment.”

The C-Series ESS is engineered for quick and easy installation. Its forklift-ready skid design bypasses complex hoisting and underground trenching, streamlining installation while minimising on-site construction time and labour costs. Advanced fire safety protection is a key priority, with a full liquid-cooled system, gas-venting valves, the utilisation of LFP 314 Ah cells, built-in heat, smoke, and flammable gas detectors, and fire aerosol protection.

At the core of the C-Series ESS is the PCS, integrated with five battery packs, a liquid cooling system, and a control unit, all within a compact footprint of less than 1.5 square metres. This space-efficient design significantly reduces installation area requirements, making it ideal for sites where space is at a premium.

The system’s integrated unit controller streamlines device-level coordination, enabling flexible site planning, simplified maintenance, and efficient operation. By managing routine control functions at the cabinet level, it allows the central energy management system (EMS) to focus on strategic decision-making and AI-driven optimisation. The system supports multiple application modes and allows for seamless integration with third-party EMS platforms.

Built with high-performance LFP 314 Ah cells, the C-Series is designed as a long-term investment, offering a long cycle life and high energy density. It complies with the UL 9540A testing method, meeting rigorous fire safety and building code standards for battery energy storage systems.
