Danone is preparing to broaden its dairy offerings in the United Kingdom with the introduction of its new Skyr line.

Known for its thick and creamy texture, Danone Skyr is an Icelandic-style yogurt that is naturally high in protein, fat-free, and calcium-rich.

Strong consumer demand for the product in other areas led Danone to add Skyr to its dairy offering in the UK. Since 2019, Skyr has fuelled a 29% increase in the volume of yogurts sold in France.

800g Natural (RRP £3.30), 480g Natural (RRP £2.25), 150g Natural & Strawberry (RRP £1.10), and 270ml Vanilla and Strawberry beverages (RRP £1.50) are among the pack types and flavours in which the new product will be offered.

Tom Hickton, dairy marketing director, Danone UK & Ireland, commented: “After seeing the growth of Skyr in other markets, we are thrilled to introduce Danone Skyr to the UK. Our Skyr range offers a tasty option for consumers looking for naturally high-protein, fat-free products.

“Danone Skyr stands out in the market with its thick and creamy texture and mild taste. We believe it will be a popular choice among health-conscious shoppers.”
