Danfoss Power Solutions has announced the completion of its acquisition of the hose fittings manufacturer Hydro Holding Spa, following the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals. This strategic acquisition provides Danfoss with a competitive production base in Italy and the Czech Republic, along with 350 experienced employees focused on customer service.
“We’re pleased to welcome Hydro Holding employees to Danfoss Power Solutions. This talented team will help us accelerate growth and strengthen our global leadership in fluid conveyance. Together, we will deliver unmatched hose and fittings solutions to the European market,” stated Daniel Winter, President of Danfoss Power Solutions.
Hydro Holding, a prominent manufacturer headquartered in Castello d’Argile, Italy, specialises in carbon steel and stainless steel fittings, adapters, and hose assemblies. This acquisition enhances Danfoss’s existing portfolio, offering customers a more comprehensive range of products. Domenico Traverso, President of Fluid Conveyance at Danfoss Power Solutions, commented, “With Hydro Holding joining Danfoss, we complete the foundation for our new European fittings platform.”
The integration will see Hydro Holding become part of Danfoss Power Solutions’ Fluid Conveyance division as a new business unit named Hydro. Stefano Bordegnoni, previously CEO of Hydro Holding, will lead this unit as Vice President, reporting directly to Traverso. Bordegnoni brings his extensive experience in industrial manufacturing and engineering innovation to the role.
Bordegnoni expressed enthusiasm about the merger, stating, “Together with Danfoss, we create a strong commercial offering that enables us to deliver even greater value to our customers.” The primary focus will be on maintaining continuity and high standards in service and product quality for existing customers.
Danfoss Power Solutions’ Fluid Conveyance division produces hoses and fittings for various applications, including mobile and industrial equipment, vehicles, and aircraft. With the inclusion of Hydro Holding’s workforce, the division now employs approximately 5,650 people. The division reported annual sales of EUR 1.2 billion in 2024, positioning itself as a leader in the market.
