Danfoss Power Solutions acquires Hydro Holding

Hydro Holding Spa joins Danfoss Power Solutions’ Fluid Conveyance division. The acquisition, under Danfoss’ LEAP 2030 strategy, aims to enhance its hose fittings portfolio and solidify its leadership in Europe, pending regulatory approval. The integration promises to bolster market presence and deliver innovative solutions.


Hydro Holding Spa is set to become part of Danfoss Power Solutions’ Fluid Conveyance division, following a new agreement. This acquisition aligns with Danfoss’ strategic LEAP 2030 initiative, aiming to accelerate profitable growth. Hydro Holding’s integration will enhance Danfoss’ hose fittings portfolio, positioning it as a leading player in Europe.

The Fluid Conveyance division is a renowned global manufacturer of hoses and fittings, with established brands including Aeroquip, Weatherhead, Hansen, and Waltech. Daniel Winter, President of Danfoss Power Solutions, stated, “Bringing Hydro Holding into the Danfoss Fluid Conveyance business is a perfect fit for both organizations. We will create a hose and fitting powerhouse in Europe, and together, we will be able to realise synergies, expand market share, and meet the needs of our customers with innovative solutions and a broader product range.”

Hydro Holding offers a suite of high-quality products, including carbon and stainless steel fittings and adapters, hose assemblies, and formed steel tubing, serving industries such as material handling, oil and gas, agriculture, marine, construction, mining, and chemicals.

Danfoss Power Solutions’ Fluid Conveyance division manufactures hoses and fittings for a wide range of equipment and applications, encompassing vehicles, aircraft, mining, food and beverage, and mobile and industrial equipment. Its product lines include hydraulic, engine, air conditioning, and industrial hose and fittings, as well as connectors, quick-disconnect couplings, hose machines, tools, and accessories. The division reported annual sales of EUR 1.2 billion in 2024 and employs approximately 5,300 people.

The acquisition is subject to necessary approvals by relevant agencies, such as competition authorities, and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
